You just wouldn’t write a weird piano melody, put it through all your distortion pedals then write an epic post-disco jam around it. Basically that doesn’t work… or at least shouldn’t… But Das Moth (aka: Tokyo-dwelling DJ, producer and punk bassist Tim Sullivan) has provided us with proof to the contrary in his debut 12″ release featuring ‘Moon’ and the aptly titled ‘Wrong’. Yes it works, and it’s genius. We wont do any more head-scratching on how to describe this release, except to say that the vinyl is an absolute ‘must have’, also featuring proto-house workout from heavyweights Kink & Neville Watson.
